The Canadian Junior Championships will take place in Shawinigan, QC from January 13th to 21st.  Following are short interviews we did with six of the skips that will lead their teams into the competition, starting with Tyler Tardi the reigning Canadian Junior Champion (Scroll down to listen to each of the interviews):

Tyler Tardi (BC) – 2017 Canadian Junior champion

Won the Canadian Juniors last year and won a bronze medal in 2016.

 

Kaitlyn Jones (NS)

Skipped Saskatchewan at the 2017 Canadian Juniors but will represent Nova Scotia this year.

 

Matthew Hall (ON)

Silver medalist at the 2017 Canadian Juniors.

 

Sara England (SK)

Returns to the Canadian Juniors as a skip after playing 3rd for Saskatchewan last year.

 

JT Ryan (MB)

Finished the round-robin undefeated in 2017 and reached a tie-breaker.

 

Kayla Skrlik (AB)

Will look to retain the title for Alberta after Kristen Streifel’s victory in 2017.
