The holiday season is a time of giving and the curling community is known for being generous. One of the causes that is close to the hearts of many curlers and curling fans is the Sandra Schmirler Foundation named after Sandra Schmirler, the 1998 Olympic gold medalist and three-time World Champion for Canada.
The Foundation is known for supporting hospitals that treat premature and critically ill babies and has also founded the Spirit of Sandra Scholarships that are given to outstanding junior curlers from across the country each year
From the Hack recently spoke with Robin Wilson who serves as the Leadership Director for the Sandra Schmirler Foundation to discuss the Foundation, its programs and the invaluable support it receives from the Canadian curling community.
