With a silver medal at last year’s World Women’s Championship and a fourth place finish at the World Men’s Championship, Japanese curling had its best year ever. Now, with the Japanese women qualified for next year’s Olympics and with the men in a good position to do the same, things are looking up for Japanese curling. From the Hack recently caught up with J.D. Lind, a Canadian, who coaches the Japanese men and women and who has been one of the architects of Japan’s recent successes in international curling.
